SJ plans

Writing some of my plans for Seraphim Javelin for those interested and so I can easily remember them.

Find out more about the used condom in the trash can (spoilers) after the break.

So in the first real mission, there's a trash can you can examine and find a used condom.  In the previous versions, there was some limited content with it but it's absolutely impossible for the player to trigger those conditions. You needed several events before it triggered (probably more than what's in the game).  I believe I removed it in the latest version so I can plan it out.

Note: In general, I plan to include something that might trip up the player during every mission.  This will be something that causes the player to lose control or get an event or both.  In the grocery side mission, it's the magazine rack (not yet included).

New idea for the used condom goes like this.

The player sees it and becomes transfixed.  Fortunately Tinker jolts you out of it.  You make a snap decision to throw it away or answer Tinker.

If you answer Tinker first, you will pocket the condom only noticing it after your conversation with Tinker.  You decide to worry about it later and you can throw it away whenever you want.

If you complete the mission and fall asleep with it in your inventory, you'll have an interesting dream and the condom will be automatically "disposed" of.

  1. It's great news that you've found some motivation to get this one going again, its by far one of the most in-depth and ambitious RAGS projects I've seen so far! Anyways, loving your ideas and yeah, i did notice the magazine rack had oddly vanished in the last update....can't wait to see where you go with this game!
